The past few weeks have been a blur of motion - restocks, custom orders, new designs in the works, and a few weekend escapes (including my 10-year college reunion). Here’s a small window into the activity behind the scenes.

One of my favorite fabrics to work with is crisp cotton organdy - sheer, structured, and quietly sculptural (see the Daucus and Narcissus Dresses). I recently ordered several rolls in a variety of hand-dyed colors and was curious how the sheer swaths of color might interact - overlapping tones to create layered, abstract compositions. I didn’t have the time to explore it fully just yet, but I’m looking forward to experimenting more when I can.
Alongside restocking bestselling styles like the Easy Pant and Easy Mini and keeping up with online orders, I’ve also been working on a few custom pieces. One recent request was for an ivory Cestrum Dress, shortened to a mini length with a slightly higher back.
I’ve made a few of these custom mini Cestrums now, and each one turns out beautifully. It may be time to offer a mini length version in the next collection drop?
A few things that have been inspiring me recently:
My partner - who shoots the majority of the film and imagery for Cvet Préri - and I first met at RISD, where he studied Film/Animation/Video and I studied Apparel Design. We returned together earlier this month for our ten-year reunion - our first time back in Providence since graduating.
It was deeply nostalgic - staying with old friends, retracing familiar paths, and revisiting the campus that shaped so much of who we’ve become. A meaningful return to a place that still holds us in so many ways.
I’m looking forward to sharing this upcoming collection drop with you. A few of the new pieces included: a cotton drawstring curved leg pant, cream silk bloomers, a pull-on poplin wide-leg short, and something special - in linen.
